It Takes A Village (ITAV) Transitional Living Homes are designed to work in collaboration with other community-based resources, to develop a strong foundation of service, skill building and support for It Takes A Village residents.

Providing youth in the foster care system,
and other at-risk youth,
with a structured environment, educational and employment opportunities, life skills development and
a place to call home.

COVID-19 has posed a significant health challenge and loss of life. It Takes a Village, Inc. recognizes the importance of adhering to healthy-behavior guidelines and have undertaken a number of measures to ensure a safe environment for our teens and staff members.

 

From routine cleanings and disinfecting of our homes and virtual learning spaces, to practicing social distancing wearing face coverings and other personal protection equipment as recommended by health officials, we are doing our part to slow the spread of COVID. 

COVID-19 Facts and Details

The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) known as a novel (new) coronavirus was first reported in Wuhan, China in December 2019. SARS -CoV-2 causes the human respiratory illness coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).  

Face Coverings in Public Settings

To protect others from getting sick, everyone in a public setting where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) is recommended to wear a cloth face covering.  

COVID-19 Testing

SARS-CoV-2 is the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. There are three kinds of COVID-19 tests: viral, antibody, and antigen tests. Viral and antigen tests detect a current infection. Antibody tests detect current or past infection.
